Holocaust Memorial Day in Bosnia House-Birmingham
Bosnian community in Birmingham marked Holocaust Memorial Day by organising appropriate program for this occasion. Parents and their children with a minute of silence payed their respects to those who perished in the Holocaust as well as other innocent victims of all wars.
New Year party for children in Bosnia House
The party for kids was held in Bosnia house on 27th December. On this occasion Santa Close gave presents to over 80 children from our community. Grate gratitude go to parents for their donations towards food and volunteers for helping us to organise the event.

Srebrenica Memorial Day honours the victims and survivors of the genocide. It offers a unique opportunity to remember the lives lost in Srebrenica, to highlight the continued consequences of genocide and to reaffirm our own commitment to strong community relations here in the UK

Memorial Football Tournament " Irhad Durakovic"
The indoor soccer Memorial tournament “Irhad Rizvo Durakovic” was held last weekend at the sport’s centre “Allan Higgs” in Coventry, in memory of the early deceased young player and activist of Bosnia and Herzegovina organisation in London. The tournament was of a selective character and a group of Bosnian and Herzegovians from the UK has been chosen to participate at the next tournament of BH Diaspora in indoor soccer, organised by SSDB&H that will be held from 5th – 7th June in Denmark.

Students from Bosnian supplementary school in Birmingham have celebrated the end of school 2015 year. They have been received certificates for successful studying in Bosnian language and those who have finished a 8 years education have been awarded.

Celebrating Bosnia Herzegovina Culture and Heritage
Our Life, Our Transition Bosnian War People Preserving History, Language and Culture in East Midlands 2016 marks 21 years since the end of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also marks 21 years since the genocide in Srebrenica when, in the worst episode of mass murder within Europe since World War II, more than 8,000 Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) boys and men were executed by Bosnian Serb forces. One third of the country’s population were internally and externally displaced in a process known as ‘ethnic cleansing’ and several hundred thousand were forced to flee their homes. Some of these people made a new home here in Derby. Last year, the Derby Bosnia-Herzegovina Community Association began a Heritage Lottery funded project to record and interpret how Bosnian people integrated into life in the United Kingdom, and overcame the difficulties and barriers they faced. The project resulted in a film, a book and the exhibition here. The objects, crafts and costumes displayed were collected through the project and represent Bosnia and Herzegovina heritage....
